Google Maps is developing a function that will mark the streets with the greatest illumination in the city for trips on foot.

The Google Maps service is working to incorporate a new service aimed at highlighting in yellow the streets that have more lighting at night, so that users who walk on foot feel more secure.

The new “ Lightning ” layer is already present in the beta version of the v10.31.0 app, as reported by the XDA-Developers portal.

The function is still in development so it has not been tested in any region at the moment.
