In the event held in Barcelona, Mobile World Congress 2019 , LG introduced two new smartphones that will be launched on the market in the coming months.
LG G8 ThinQ
One of them is "LG G8 ThinQ", which authenticates its owner by reading the thickness and other characteristics of the veins in the palm of his hand.
This technology is called "Hand ID" and allows to unlock the cell phone with one of the cameras of the mobile and infrared sensors. It also has a system that controls the phone through gestures, called "Air Motion", which allows the user to manipulate and interact without having direct contact with the cell phone.
The equipment has 6.1-inch Crystal Sound OLED screen, Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, with the option of expanding it with a micro SD card.
Its battery is 3,500 mAh, with fast charging 3.0 through USB-C or wireless and Android operating system 9.0 Foot.
Regarding the cameras, there is enough to clarify, since it has five: three of them in the back and two front. One of the rear has 16 megapixel super wide angle and two 12 MP standard. With respect to the front, one is called Z, is wide angle of 8 MP with ToF technology (time of flight: Time of flight), which is what allows to recognize the veins in the palm of the user's hand.
LG V50 ThinQ 5G
Another cell phone that the company presented at the event is the "LG V50 ThinQ", the first of the brand that is compatible with 5G technology. This device, using an accessory, becomes a phone with two screens from which you can consult different applications simultaneously or improve the videogame experience.
The first screen is 6.4 "and the second is 6.2".
It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Its battery is 4,000 mAh, with Quick Charge 3.0.
Another detail to highlight of this new cell phone is the Boombox DTS: X 3D system, which offers a super-enveloping sound experience. It also integrates three cameras, two rear of 16 and 12 MP and the front of 8 MP.
