The dating app will add new features from mid-October. One of them is to add videos in the presentation profile and another is a section that will help connect with users who have similar opinions and interests.
Finally, Tinder has incorporated the function of being able to add videos as content of the shared public profile, since until now it was only possible to upload photos.
This option is originally available from June but only for some sectors and from mid-October, it will be available for Latin America, Europe and Asia.
The videos can only be viewed in GIF style, that is , short recordings without audio and up to 9 can be shared on the profile.
According to the company, this is a new way for users to express themselves and it is mainly focused on young people, who are used to using platforms such as TikTok and YouTube.
In addition to this new video feature, Tinder added another very interesting one called “ Explore ”. Unlike the previous one, which was the “Similar Tastes”, this new mechanic consists of answering a series of questions regarding interests, in order to then be able to connect with people who have selected the same answers.
The purpose of incorporating this last tool is for users to connect with people who belong to a community of similar interests, be it music, food, video games, among others.
