Spotify's strategy of adding podcasts of great celebrities to its content is giving it very good financial results considering that a quarter of its active users choose this format within the app.
Consequently, the company evaluates monetizing them either by subscription, with or without ads, offering various alternatives or different plans adapted to the needs of users. Currently all podcasts are on the platform without any restrictions, but with advertisements.
The company clarified that any strategy applied to this format will be independent of the strategy used for musical content; a business in which Spotify is on the podium.
