Sony launches a special edition of the "Walkman"

For the nostalgic, one of Sony's flagship products returned! with Android, Hi-Res high quality audio and S-Master HX digital amplifier.

Sony launches a special edition of the "Walkman"

The Japanese firm traveled to the past, exactly as of July 1, 1979 when it launched the Walkman TPS-L2, to present a super special edition of the 40th anniversary of its cassette player.

The company added to the new “Walkman NW-A100TPS” the compatibility with the Android operating system and high definition audio, with DSEE HX technology.

Its design is retro, similar to the original, imitating that an old cassette is heard although in reality it is the interface of the device.

The screen of the new Walkman is 3.6 inch touch. It also has 16 GB storage capacity, slot to use a microSD card, USB-C charging port, WiFi connection, NCF and Bluethooth, 3.5 mm jack and 26 hours autonomy. The new player will feature IER-NW510N headphones that cancel any type of noise.

The back of the device has a special logo for the 40 years of the Walkman, defining it as a very exclusive and collectible edition.

It will have an approximate cost of 440 euros and it is not yet known exactly the date that will be released.
