The changes in what refers to technology is given by leaps and bounds so that everything changes and in the change there are devices that are left behind without being able to incorporate new features and different apps.
WhatsApp , the renowned instant messaging application, has announced that as of January 1, 2019, some mobile models will no longer be able to create new accounts or update the app.
The first model that will be left out is the Nokia S40; then it will be the time for those smartphones with Android 2.3.7 and above operating system, iPhone with iOS 7 and earlier, having a longer term, since it was stipulated as the deadline on February 1, 2020.
Those still in the race: WhatsApp will continue to be compatible with mobile phones that have Android 4.0 or higher, iPhone with iOS 8 or higher, JioPhone and JioPhone 2, Windows Phone 8.1 or higher.
To have an idea in numbers, it is estimated that with these changes some 6 million devices will expire for this app in 2020.
