One of the most used services of the platform is to be able to create groups and chat between several people simultaneously.
Following this line a few days ago, WhatsApp presented the option of being able to choose which groups you want to join, since until now they could join you without your permission.
The feature is now available for iOS and Android. To configure it, you must enter WhatsApp and click on the three points in the upper right corner of the screen.
The following steps should then be followed:
- Enter the option "Settings" / "Account" / "Privacy".
- Then select "Groups." This is where you can choose between three options: "Everyone" (allows everyone to add you without permission), "My Contacts" (you can only be added to a group if it is in your contact list) and "My Contacts, except ”(You can further exclude and filter the people who can add you to a group).
This means that from now on, group administrators who want to add you will be able to invite you by private message.
